Network Connection Problems
Determine if you are using a wired or wireless connection.
If wired:
1. Check that both ends of the ethernet cable are securely plugged in.
2. Verify the Ethernet port light is lit on the PC.
3. Check system tray for an active connection status.
4. If the system tray shows "Network Name" followed by a status of "Connected" the device is connected to the internet.
5. If the system tray shows "Connected, No internet" right click the system tray icon and select "Troubleshoot Problems", if this does not resolve the issue open a command prompt (Win key + r, type cmd, press enter) then in the command prompt enter "ipconfig /release" and press enter. Wait for the command to finish then type "ipconfig /renew" and press enter.
6. If the above steps have not resolved the issue, and the device shows an active internet connection, attempt a search using an alternate browser. If this works, then the primary browser may be misconfigured.
7. If the device shows "Connected" and the internet connection is still not working, please contact your Network Administrator.
If wireless:
1. Check that the wireless adapter is enabled by clicking network icon in the system tray and verify that "Wi-Fi" Is toggled on.
2. Check that the device is connected to an available Wi-Fi network with the proper passphrase configured.
3. Verify signal strength maintains at least 2-3 bars.
